Recorded Dec 28, 2018 in Süng, Germany. Long-, medium, and shortwave radio signals, kalimba, and OP-1 synthesizer processed live with a Ciat-Lonbarde Cocoquantus.

Listen with headphones for the best experience. There are some very quiet parts and, as with many of the Ciat-Lonbarde instruments, there is a very wide stereo field, which works best on headphones.

The cover artwork is a sketch of the longwave radio towers that are visible from the house where I grew up. They are still active, broadcasting the French station “Europe 1” on 183 kHz. (update 2022: not anymore)
